Despite the war, KSG Agro received EBITDA of 2.7 mln. USD within 9 months of 2022
According to the report of KSG Agro, published on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, during the three quarters of 2022, the agricultural holding's EBITDA amounted to $2.7 million, and net profit was $0.5 million. Other financial indicators were also positive. Thus, gross profit reached 3.1 million dollars, operating income - 1.7 million dollars.
Recall that EBITDA is an indicator that is equal to the amount of profit before interest, taxes and depreciation deductions.
Compared to the same period of 2021, in 9 months of 2022, the volume of production and sale of pigs in physical terms increased by 37%: from 41.1 thousand to 56.2 thousand heads.
"Thanks to timely measures to ensure stable production in the crop and livestock segments, despite the full-scale war in Ukraine, we managed to make a profit," commented the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KSG Agro Sergiy Kasianov. Thus, this year's crop and sunflower harvests were predicted to be lower than last year's record ones, so comparing the gross income of 9 months. This year is not the same as the same period of the past. The main thing is that, despite the war, we managed to preserve the backbone of the professional team, rebuild the destroyed logistics chains, increase the number of pigs by 20% since the beginning of the year, and also organize the export of both agricultural products and finished products with a high added value - of sunflower oil - to the countries of the European Union".
