KSG Agro has started fertilizing winter crops on an area of 3,600 hectares

Farms belonging to the KSG Agro agricultural holding have started fertilizing winter crops - wheat and rapeseed - on an area of 3,600 hectares. This was reported by the press service of the agricultural holding.

Farms belonging to KSG Agro have started fertilizing winter crops on an area of 3,600 hectares. In terms of crops, the fertilization process is carried out on the following sown areas:

- Winter rape - 1,400 hectares,

- Wheat - 2,200 hectares.

According to Dmytro Yemelchenko, Head of KSG Agro's Crop Production Division, UAN (urea-ammonium nitrate), ammonium sulfate and urea are used in the fertilization process. Such a set of fertilizers is due to both differentiation by crops and economic calculations. At the moment, the most cost-effective nitrogen is available in urea.

Fertilizers, including ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate and urea, are currently being purchased for spring field work. The holding's farms also contract plant protection products (PPPs) from well-known global manufacturers such as Adama, Bayer, UPL, etc.

In addition, starting from the next season, the holding's crop farms plan to use liquid complex fertilizers. To this end, the holding is preparing to purchase equipment for DB55 row crop seeders, which will allow applying liquid fertilizers to the soil.
