KSG Agro is among the companies with the most significant contribution to the development of Dnipropetrovs'k region during the war period

On the occasion of the Entrepreneur's Day, the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration has identified regional companies whose contribution to the economic security and development of the region has been the most significant during the war. One of them is the regional division of KSG Agro.

The Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration hosted a meeting between its head, Serhiy Lysak, and businessmen from the Naddniprians'k region. The event was attended by representatives of those companies that, according to the head of the regional military administration, are doing their best to increase the industrial and economic potential of the region, create jobs and replenish the budget. Among those whose contribution was recognized separately was the Enterprise of the Ukrainian Agricultural Holding No. 2 LLC, a subsidiary of the KSG Agro agricultural holding. On behalf of the holding's team, Yuriy Nemykin, Chief Operating Officer, received a letter of gratitude from Serhiy Lysak for his significant contribution to the economic development of the region.

"This award is very important for our company. It is a symbol of recognition of the selfless work that our production team members demonstrate in the most difficult conditions of the frontline zone," commented Sergiy Kasianov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at KSG Agro.

He reminded that the war turned the work of an agrarian into a literal battle for the harvest. The company's employees had to sow, harvest and transport crops several tens of kilometers from the front line, sometimes even under fire. Since the first days of the war, KSG Agro has set itself the task of ensuring food security not only in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, but also in the neighboring oblasts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. First of all, it concerns livestock products: the agricultural holding is a producer of 80% of pork in the Naddniprianshchyna region.

According to Sergiy Kasianov, the company is well aware of its responsibility to the country and fulfils all its obligations regarding food security. All KSG Agro's businesses and divisions are working in high-stress mode. This has resulted in a 20% increase in production since the beginning of the war compared to the pre-war period. The company grows grain crops on 20 thousand hectares of land bank, used for the production of animal feed. The company has a complete genetic cycle and fully controls the quality of technological processes.

KSG Agro also recognizes the social role that business plays in difficult times for the country. That is why the company does not cut but, on the contrary, increases jobs, indexes salaries in line with inflation, finances various volunteer and charitable programs, and provides assistance to the communities where the holding's enterprises are located. At the request of military units and the military, KSG Agro ships food products worth millions of hryvnias free of charge, and actively participates in the program of producing stew for the needs of the army, providing 40 tons of meat products free of charge.

"The home front economy is an important component of Ukraine's victory. Generally speaking, the economy of a country at war differs significantly from the economy in peacetime. This is an essential point that the leadership of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration is well aware of. Serhiy Lysak and his deputy Volodymyr Orlov are professionally knowledgeable of all the significant challenges and threats that currently exist in the activities of farmers, especially in the frontline area, where various infrastructure problems, such as water and electricity supply, arise from time to time, which are important not only for us but also for thousands of people in the areas where our enterprises are budget-forming. We see that the attention that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pays to constructive communication between the government and business continues at the regional level. And this is a sign that society can be united and effective for the sake of a great Ukrainian victory," emphasized Sergiy Kasianov.
